A fatal crash in downtown Kamloops last week has claimed a third life.

A man listed in critical condition after the accident has succumbed to his injuries, RCMP said Wednesday.

Two other men, Daniel Okocha and Feyisola (David) Adebowale, died at the scene. A fourth man in the car survived with non-life-threatening injuries.

Okocha's brother, David, identified the third victim as Kelvin Oluwatosin Adeojo.

All four were international students at Thompson Rivers University, current and alumni. The most recent victim was a man in his mid-30s.

The four were in a red sedan on Nov. 3, when it was hit by a pickup about 1:40 a.m. The driver of the pickup fled the scene, leaving the truck behind.

Police have identified the alleged driver, but charges haven't been laid.

Police arrested the owner of the truck on, Nov. 3, but released him later that day. A house on Fernie Place in the Guerin Creek area was also searched as a part of the investigation.

Police want to speak to a woman who helped with first aid at the scene. She was wearing a long, white coat with black geometric signs on it.

"If you provided first aid at this scene and have not yet spoken with police, please contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000," says Cpl. Jodi Shelkie.
